I’ve been struggling as a new writer. I have a huge writer’s block — every time I pick up steam I lose it. I think it’s from the perfectionism we writers are so often cursed with.

So, I’ll say what I’d say to a friend:

Being vulnerable is embarrassing. My stories make me vulnerable. When you write, you’re putting yourself out there, even if it’s a case study or an article with facts. Your style and voice as a writer is what comes out.
